DR POSTURE / WEBSITE POLICIES

Privacy policy

What we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Updated 4 November 2026 · Dr Posture Pty Ltd

AT A GLANCE

  • Learning comes first. Our learning tools do not ask for health records or posture photos.
  • Updates are your choice. The download form offers a separate, initially unticked newsletter choice.
  • You can ask. Contact us to access or correct your information, request deletion, unsubscribe or raise a concern.

Who is responsible

Dr Posture Pty Ltd operates this education website, with content by Dr David Shahar, DC, PhD, in Queensland, Australia. For privacy matters, contact Dr David Shahar at info@drposture.com, using “Privacy” in the subject, or use our privacy request form.

This policy covers this website and its download-update requests. Clinical appointments, patient records and the separate Dr Posture Chiropractic website have their own privacy arrangements. The planned Dr Posture app will have a policy describing its actual features when released.

Information we collect

  • Downloads and subscriptions: your email, the subscription choice you submit, submission time, and related contact and subscription records held in Wix.
  • Emails you send us: your email address, any name or other details you choose to provide, your message and our replies. The contact form sends the details you enter to Dr Posture through Wix. The privacy request form prepares a draft that you send using your email service.
  • Technical information: hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps and access logs to deliver and protect the website.

We do not request medical histories, imaging, identification documents, payment details or posture photographs through these forms. Please do not include them. If you send unnecessary sensitive information, we will consider whether it can lawfully be retained and, where appropriate, delete or de-identify it.

Downloads and email updates

Provide your email to access the printable PDFs. The newsletter checkbox starts unticked; select it only if you want occasional Dr Posture updates about new exercises and educational material. We do not sell the list or use this choice for unrelated promotions.

You can read the routines online without submitting the form. The form displays download links; it does not email the PDFs. To unsubscribe, use the link in an update email or contact info@drposture.com.

How we use and share information

We use information to provide requested resources, manage update requests and withdrawals, answer enquiries, handle privacy requests, maintain security and meet applicable legal obligations. There is no law requiring you to give an email address to request these educational downloads.

Access is limited to authorised people and service providers who need it for those purposes, such as website hosting, storage, security and email providers. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law, or to professional advisers when necessary to address a dispute or legal obligation. We do not use these records for automated diagnosis or significant automated decisions about you.

Hosting and overseas processing

Wix hosts this preview and processes the subscription and contact forms. Information may be processed outside Australia by Wix and its service providers. Email you send directly also passes through email providers.

See Wix’s privacy policy and Wix’s list of sub-processors. Contact us for details about our arrangements.

Cookies, local tools and external links

The website’s own code does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use advertising pixels. It does not save learning-tool answers, searches or Kids challenges in local storage. These interactions run in the browser and reset when the page reloads.

Wix may use cookies or similar technology for visitor sessions, security, forms and service delivery. Browser settings can control storage; blocking essential storage may affect forms. The preview’s tracking and consent settings will be checked before public launch.

Videos and illustrations are hosted with the site, without third-party embedded video players. If you follow a clinic, booking, research or social-sharing link, that service’s privacy practices apply. A device sharing chooser is controlled by your device; we do not collect the recipients you select.

Children and families

Dr Posture Kids is an educational area. It has no child account, signup form, photo upload or saved progress profile. Children should explore it with a parent, carer or teacher.

The email-update and enquiry forms are intended for adults. Parents and carers should use their own contact details, rather than a child’s. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review it and remove it where appropriate.

Keeping information secure and no longer than needed

Connections to the hosted website are encrypted. Access to submissions and contact records is restricted through Wix. The subscriber list is not publicly available. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We keep subscription and consent records while needed to manage requested updates and respect unsubscribe choices. Enquiries and privacy correspondence are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and meet applicable obligations. Automatic deletion periods have not yet been configured for this review site.

You can request deletion at any time. We will assess what can be removed, what must be retained and why. Records no longer needed and not required by law will be deleted or de-identified. If a security incident occurs, we will assess it, take appropriate action and make notifications required by applicable law.

Access, correction and complaints

Use our privacy request form or email info@drposture.com to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, or request a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Request deletion or withdraw an update request.
  • Raise a concern about how your information was handled.

We may need proportionate identity checks before releasing or changing personal information. Do not send identity documents with your initial request. There is no charge to make a request. If a lawful access charge is necessary, we will explain it before proceeding. We aim to respond within 30 days, or explain any delay. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason and available complaint options.

For complaints, tell us what happened, when, and the outcome you seek. We will review the matter and respond. If you are not satisfied, or do not receive a response within 30 days, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), where it has jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. A policy update does not by itself give permission for a new marketing purpose. If our practices materially change, we will provide appropriate notice and seek any consent required.
